At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, Katryna Tassé graduated from grade 8 (elementary school) to her first year of high school. She'll start that in September 2022. Lucky for her, her cousins Jasmine and Gavin Tassé will be there so she won't be alone.

Celebrations of her impending graduation began in May 2022. Yes, Jonah graduates also, but he goes from Kindergarten to Grade 1. More on him at a later time.

A lot of people would take this graduation as a "fait accompli", something expected.  We wonder why we make such a big deal out of someone passing from elementary school to high school...well, looking at the past, not everyone has the abilities nor the opportunity to make it this far let alone go to grade 9. High school is another challenge and the opportunity to sharpen your skills, to fine tune your skills for your life long dream of doing what you aspire to do in life.

Then after the pictures at the school, Kathryn brought them to our place for some more pictures

But who is Katryna and what does she want to be in life

Well, grad day started out with Grandma bringing her to Coco Fruitti for breakfast

Then she went to get her hair done for the grad at Tania TH Hair Salon...

While all this was going on...cake was being decorated--color was suggested by Jasmine

Oh ya, Jasmine came to help ..I thought at first to supervise, but found her helping

Her friend Melissa came also and I put her to work.

We eventually got everything organized

Then I noticed on my doorbell (Nest) that more help was arriving

GREAT

Now pictures-yes again

Now, before we head over to the school for the official graduation, there are some gifts that need to be given

Not all gifts were on hand - so some were given the next day. Here is a card from her Aunt Pierrette & Danny

As a note-Great Grandma Tassé sent her some money with all my technological abilities- I can not capture the money transfer lol

Now that all the gifts (that I was aware of) were given -- cake and then

Off to school for the graduation

Katryna came in through the back of the gym

I love the look in her eyes as she is looking down at me with my camera...looking at taking pictures of her

Then came the certificate giving

Yes, she is graduated

Then the graduates left the gym

Look at the way Jonah is waving at his sister and the smile that Katryna has for her brother. I LOVE IT

Next they went on a boat cruise

The night was done!!!
